Tate Modern - Topology Embodied

I was part of the team that filmed the Topology Embodied Symposium at the Tate Modern on Saturday 19th November. The event revolves around the area of mathematics concerned with the properties of materials under constant deformation. This was explored through sound sculpture from Julian Henriques and dance from Ohio State University.
I was in charge of live video mixing 4 Panasonic HVX200s to master broadcast as well as live audio balance. Over the day we had 3 live performances from 2 till 7pm which proved tricky. Primarily with lighting as we were situated in the East Room on top of the Tate, which has 3 glass walls over looking the River Thames. As the sun set over the city our lightning director worked hard to light our performers.
The production crew was made up of students from the Goldsmiths University TV Journalism and Documentary courses with production photos taken by Hatt Reiss on the day.
